Latin American artists Victor Vazquez

Victor Vazquez is one of the Latin American artists.
He plays a trombone.

Victor Vazquez was born in Ponce,
Puerto Rico on August 9th 1968.

He started to study music
when he was 13 years old at the 'Escuela Libre de Musica'
Then he discovered the trombone.

Antonio Salcedo is his teacher and mentor.
He is of the most recognized
and respected Professors in Puerto Rico & United States.
Victor ‘s first 'gig' was to play for Pope John Paul II.

He joined Mr. Berto Godineaux's  'Conjunto Bahia' from Salinas. 
They were his first group he joined in his life.
In 1986 he began playing with 'Los hijos Del Caribe'.

He decided to go to New York and attend the Bronx Community College in 1998. 
After that he moved on and attended the City College in New York. 
And he stared to play and record with almost every Latin band
within New York and moving on to play with artists such as  Marc Anthony,
Johnny Rivera, Jose Alberto, Tito Nieves,
Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Combinacion Perfecta All Star just to mention a few.

Now he is back in Puerto Rico and he played with Tony Vega,
Gilberto Santarrosa, Cheo Feliciano, Tito Rojas among others.
